Reflecting on what was and what will be

Welcome to the New Year – 2010 – another day, another year, another opportunity to become all God created you to be. However, becoming doesn’t happen accidentally. If you want 2010 to be a better year, there are some things you will have to do. While your mind is turned to the oddity of writing 2010 or ’10; while your heart is turned to thoughts of what you didn’t accomplish last year, why not deliberately turn it towards the ways God blessed you in 2009. Why not consider the ways you plan to bless God in 2010. Think seriously about those things you want and need God to do for you this year! We have not because we ask not!

I’ve created a chart that I hope will help you in your reflecting, praying and thinking. Be blessed.

Write down the ways God blessed you in 2009. Be specific. Thank God for each one you add. Use the back if you need. Or, write the answers in your journal. In fact, if you keep a journal, this would be a good opportunity to go back through your journal and make a note of the ways God answered specific prayers.

Blessing Blessing

Write down the ways you expect God to bless you in 2010. Be specific. Call those things that are not-yet as though they were now! Dream! Believe.

Blessings I Expect

[Rom 4:17, Mark 11:22-24, 2 Cor 4:13]

What are you going to do for God in 2010!  Be specific about the ways you intend to be a blessing to God! What ways do you intend to show God how much you love and praise Him for all He has done and will do for you?
